Course Objectives:

DNS Running Athlete II – 2 days

  • Running biomechanics review, new aspects – distance running features
  • Uphill, downhill running biomechanics
  • Global movement patterns – stabilization pattern, locomotion patterns – principles applicable for runners
  • Running analysis with respect of individual morphological biomechanical aspects
  • Running cadence vs. individual running biomechanics – what is optimal
  • Preps, stretching and coordination DNS exercises for runners utilization ipsilateral and/or contralateral global or partial patterns modifications
  • Pelvis, hip, knee, foot post injuries specific training for runners.

*Space will be limited in order to provide an ideal ratio between instructor and students.

Dr. Michael Rintala is one of the Prague School of Rehabilitation Primary Instructors teaching Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) in the United States. He is also a DNS Certified Exercise Trainer (DNSET).

DPT, PhD Petra Valouchova,  is one of the Prague School of Rehabilitation Certified Czech DNS instructors. She specializes in locomotor system dysfunction rehabilitation.
